Chelsie Dollar, LCPC

My goal as a counselor is to help you with uncovering your resources that can decrease symptoms and increase wellness. I use an integrative approach that is focused on meeting you where you are at and where you want to go. I am trained in and practice using a variety of approaches including: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational-Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness, trauma and attachment focused approaches, and incorporate expressive techniques including art and play into therapy.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with attachment and relationships, trauma related problems and experiences, anxiety or depression related problems, and those dealing with stress and life changes. I aim to maintain a safe and gentle atmosphere to help you explore and process your thoughts and emotions in order to experience the changes you want.

Tammy Kolstad, LCPC, NCC, CCMHC

I graduated with a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I have a background in Early Childhood Special Education, Child Development, and In-Patient Psychiatric Hospital units. I also volunteered as a counselor at free walk-in clinics in St. Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota before moving to Great Falls. I have worked for over four years with adolescents with depression, trauma, and anxiety.

I have worked with transgender youth and adults. I have also worked with a variety of adults and seniors. My internship was in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) where I worked with adults with cognitive delays as well as adults with Borderline Personality Disorder. I recently completed a certification program in Play Therapy. My focus tends to lean more toward Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Reality Therapy, and Brief Solution-Focused. However, I take an integrative approach to counseling and will tailor the treatment to the needs of the client.

I believe strongly in the idea that change will occur if the individual determines what they want and allows themselves to be assisted with the process. I aim to allow personal growth in a gentle but realistic approach that may also provide the needed push in the right direction.

Teslynn Anderson, LCPC

I  was born and raised in Alaska, and then moved to Montana to play soccer in college. I love the outdoors and spreading positivity to others. I completed my undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Providence in Great Falls, Montana. I have a Master of Science in counseling and I’m a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC).

We repeat what we don’t repair, and we can’t achieve change unless we make changes. My approach is integrative and emphasizes the connection of mind and body. My style is cognitive based, emotion and attachment focused, strength based, trauma-informed and trauma-affirming, polyvagal-informed, psychoeducational and skill building. We’ll work together to create healthy perspective shifts, assess relationships, develop effective communication, process difficult feelings, change unhelpful behaviors, and increase self-love. I aim to help others build neuroplasticity and increase brain health. I’m authentic, full of humor, and nonjudgmental.

My office is sensory friendly. I have specialized training in play therapy, mindfulness techniques, grief, and CBT/REBT. I’m trained in EMDR therapy and currently working towards certification. I’ve worked with adolescents/teens for over ten years in schools and in the home setting. I’m an LGBTQIA2S+ affirmative clinician who does gender-affirming care. I specialize in treating trauma and PTSD.

I’d feel honored to walk alongside you on your path towards positive changes. I respect that each person is a unique individual in the context of their own values, beliefs, cultures, and experiences. I look forward to meeting you, just as you are, and I applaud your efforts for seeking well-deserved support.

Kelli O’Brien, LCPC

My focus is to help each individual gain self-awareness, self-compassion, and overall confidence in his or her ability to understand and manage overwhelming emotions, stress, and ongoing psychological and behavioral problems.

When we are defeated or don’t feel like ourselves, it is easy to focus on the negatives; I help individuals, couples, and families rediscover their strengths and the positive attributes that empower them toward growth and happiness.

I have been a practicing therapist for 3 years and have been in the mental health field for approximately 7 years, which included being a treatment service technician for several therapeutic group homes, and a behavioral health therapist in school-based services.

I am passionate about kids, women’s issues, building healthy relationships, increasing self-esteem, and healing family dynamics (including teaching parenting skills). I work with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of presenting problems including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma (physical, sexual, emotional, and psychological), low self-esteem, grief and loss, family conflict, school issues, oppositional defiant behaviors, anger management, Autism, and adjustment. As a therapist, I apply an integrative approach to best treat each individual. I draw upon Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), play-based modalities, expressive art therapy, mindfulness, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Person Centered (PCT), Family Systems, and Existential Therapy.

My commitment to you is to provide a safe, validating, and non-judgmental space for you to genuinely express yourself, explore past experiences as they relate to the present difficulties, and identify emotions, thoughts, and behaviors that have been keeping you stagnant. The therapeutic relationship is very important to individual growth and I foster that growth by using unconditional positive regard, validation, empathy, and humor.

I am an LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist; you are welcome and safe here.

Robert Loomis, LCSW

For many of us life can be complicated, painful, and sometimes traumatic to a point we become derailed from living a life we desire. My goal as a therapist is to assist people who are in pursuit of healing and self-improvement.

As a therapist, I value the dignity and self-worth of each person, respect every individual’s right to change at their own pace, and will provide a safe and confidential space to work together and achieve your goal.

My chosen therapeutic applications to assist in helping others consists of: Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT – a goal oriented therapy focused on making desirable changes), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT – replacing negative perspectives about oneself with healthier perceptions), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT – identifying desirable core values and aligning one’s actions with those values to actively become the person you want to be).

I graduated from Walla Walla University with my master’s in social work in 2020. For the last seven years I have been working with children, adolescents, adults, and families as a behavioral specialist in homes, communities, and school systems to help my clients develop and finetune skills to work through trauma, overcome anger, manage depression and/or anxiety, increase self-esteem, or adapt to challenges of developmental deficits. Whether experiencing the aforementioned emotions or situations yourself or trying to support another who is, I would be honored to walk with you until you feel you are ready to journey on your own path once again.
